Memorandum of Agreement

Broadcasting, Electronic, Media & Allied Workers Union (BEMAWU)


and


South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)

Purpose

This agreement outlines the terms of the 2015/2016 salary and benefits settlement between BEMAWU and the SABC, applicable to all BEMAWU members employed by the Corporation.


Salary Adjustment

  • All BEMAWU members will receive an 8% across-the-board salary increase,
    backdated to 1 April 2015.

Substantive Benefits

Paternity Leave

  • Extended from 5 working days to 14 calendar days,
    in accordance with the SABC Leave Policy.


⚖️ Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes regarding the interpretation or application of this agreement shall be resolved in accordance with Clause 7 of the Recognition Agreement between BEMAWU and the SABC.

✅ Signatories

This agreement was signed by duly authorized representatives of both BEMAWU and the SABC on 14 July 2015.
